1.2 About These Terms

These terms of sale apply to all purchases made from Halfdan Illustration Studio Reistad, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway. By placing an order with us, you accept these terms and conditions.

2. PRICES AND PAYMENT

2.1 Prices

All prices are listed in Norwegian Kroner (NOK) and include VAT (merverdiavgift) where applicable.

Shipping costs will be calculated and displayed separately before checkout.

2.2 Payment Methods

We accept payment through Vipps or invoice.

Full payment must be received before artwork is shipped or made available for collection.

For custom commissions, a non-refundable deposit of 30% may be required before work begins.

2.3 Invoicing

A receipt or invoice will be provided for all purchases.

For business customers, a valid organization number must be provided if VAT exemption is requested.

3. ORDERING AND DELIVERY

3.1 Ordering Process

Orders can be placed through our website, by email, or by phone.

After placing an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email.

The agreement is binding when the order confirmation has been sent.

3.2 Delivery Methods and Timeframes

Standard delivery time: within 2 weeks from order confirmation

Local pickup is available by appointment at our studio in Bærums Verk.

3.3 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs will be specified at checkout based on destination and package dimensions.

3.4 Risk Transfer

Risk for the artwork transfers to the buyer when the artwork is delivered to the buyer's specified delivery address or when collected in person.

4. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL (ANGRERETT)

4.1 14-Day Withdrawal Right

In accordance with the Norwegian Cancellation Act (Angrerettloven), consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal for purchases made online or by phone.

The withdrawal period begins from the day you receive the artwork.

4.2 Exceptions to Withdrawal Right

Custom-made or personalized artworks created to your specifications are exempt from the right of withdrawal.

Original artworks where specific pieces are selected in person at our studio may also be exempt.

4.3 Withdrawal Process

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify us in writing by email before the withdrawal period expires.

You may use the standard withdrawal form available on our website or provide clear written notice of your decision to withdraw.

You must return the artwork in its original condition and packaging within 14 days of notifying us of your withdrawal.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.

4.4 Refunds

Once the returned artwork is received and inspected, a refund will be processed within 14 days.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

We may withhold the refund until the artwork has been returned or until you have provided evidence of having sent back the artwork.

5. DEFECTS AND COMPLAINTS

5.1 Examination Duty

Please inspect the artwork immediately upon receipt.

Any visible damage to the packaging should be noted when accepting delivery.

5.2 Complaint Process

In accordance with the Norwegian Consumer Purchase Act (Forbrukerkjøpsloven), you have the right to complain about defects within a reasonable time after discovery.

Complaints must be made within two months from the date the defect was discovered to be considered reasonable.

Complaints should be submitted in writing to jhreistad@gmail.com and include order number, description of the defect, and preferably images documenting the issue.

5.3 Our Response to Complaints

We will respond to all complaints within 14 days.

For valid claims, we will offer repair, replacement, reduction in price, or cancellation of the purchase with a full refund, as appropriate to the situation.

If a replacement is sent, you must return the defective item at our expense.

6. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

6.1 Data Collection and Use

We collect personal data necessary for processing orders and deliveries.

Personal information is handled in accordance with the Norwegian Personal Data Act (Personopplysningsloven) and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

7. COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

7.1 Artist's Rights

The artist retains copyright and reproduction rights to all artworks unless explicitly transferred in writing.

Purchase of an artwork does not include copyright or reproduction rights.

7.2 Buyer's Rights

The buyer acquires ownership of the physical artwork only.

The buyer may not reproduce, publish, or create derivative works based on the purchased artwork without written permission from the artist.

9. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

9.1 Applicable Law

These terms and all purchases are governed by Norwegian law.

9.2 Dispute Process

In case of a dispute, we encourage direct contact to find an amicable solution.

If no solution is reached, consumers may refer the matter to Forbrukertilsynet and Forbrukerrådet.

The case may be brought before Forbrukerklageutvalget if necessary.

10. CHANGES TO TERMS

We reserve the right to update these terms of sale.

Any changes will be posted on our website and will not apply retroactively to orders already placed.
